Exterior Siding — Colorado

Just finished this garage and guest suite exterior in Nathrop, Colorado — at 8,400 feet, you don't build light. The wall assembly here is serious: ZIP System sheathing with taped and rolled seams, a ProChannel rain screen, 2.5" RockWool CavityRock plus 2" of exterior rigid foam. On top of that we installed Nichiha panels on the front elevation, HardiePlank Artisan V-groove lap siding on the main body, vertical board-and-batten on the accent elevation, Versetta Stone veneer at the base and step walls, and a corrugated Ultra Mat Black metal panel accent on the front. Dark standing seam metal roof finishes it. This is the kind of build that holds up for decades in real mountain conditions.
